About this Artwork

Untitled presents a moving visual narrative of a community celebrating the long-awaited arrival of rain. In many African cultures, rain is regarded as an ancestral blessing, symbolising renewal, fertility and abundance. Madiba depicts a moment of collective gratitude as members of the community gather to acknowledge this gift, highlighting the deep spiritual and cultural connection between people, the land and their ancestors. More than a celebration of a natural event, the work reflects the values of unity, hope and a shared resilience amongst the people.
